Quick question to owners regarding the 'Load Bar', or to quote TG "dog knob coloured strut brace" detachable? I know it's not functional as a brace so is it easy to remove.
I'm just collecting quotes, no problem getting one from a main dealer so all those jokers & dreamers on AutoTrader @45k will have to wait for customers.

Are you finding any discounts Lagom? Or are they sticking to the RRP?I'm just collecting quotes, no problem getting one from a main dealer so all those jokers & dreamers on AutoTrader @45k will have to wait for customers.

Well I’ve put my deposit down for a GP3 today (a cancellation) to move out of my 18 plate JCW Clubman.
Had one of the JCW Challenges ( #40 ) which was an awesome bit of kit but the spec was too sparse for what I wanted plus the Nitrons are very harsh on normal roads. The other reason for selling, and actually a major plus point of the GP3, is that it was manual. Got injured in the military and an auto is a must.
So looking forward to picking her up in the near future.
Have ensured enough left in the kitty for a ‘sponsored by Halfords’ sticker in the rear window haha

Got the call from dealer today...
15K
They offered me 15k for my 10,000 mile Challenge edition. In the dealer network there are 3 on sale the cheapest is 25k with 25,000 miles on the clock. So now Mini dealers want a 10k mark up. Didn't want to offer a deal of any kind on the GP either.
That’s very poor. MINI Slough gave me £25k px against a JCW Clubman 18 months ago! 15K

Have a chat with them perhaps?

Fast forward to about 9:00 if short on time.
I saw that too. See his other cars though, I doubt he will feel any pain in restoring it!Enthusiastic new GP3 owner bins car on first day (in his own garden):

Picked her up on Friday, Amazing drive but quite (Very) stiffly sprung!!
Question for owners who have had theirs a while, does the exhaust get louder, and does it pop and bang?
If not OPF delete may be on the cards!
looking good. Is the Alpine yours too? If so i’d be interested in a comparison having sold my a110 and being that i’m considering a GP.Question for owners who have had theirs a while, does the exhaust get louder, and does it pop and bang?

Hi Rich,cheers
The Alpine is my Dads but I have stolen it for the past few months while I was awaiting the Mini.
They are quite different in most ways.
The Alpine is a lightweight, delicate, mid-engined sports car with not too much power and amazing balance.
The mini, on the other hand, is a brute that you have to always be on your toes with (Imagine it is a mini GT3RS) with a lump of power and torque that will never fail to make you smile while you drive it but make sure you are holding on!
They are so different they are difficult to compare however I am slightly concerned about lack of noise from the mini but seeing as it's brand new I will give it some time to bed in before I look at cutting off the OPF and as you know the A110 has quite a nice note to it with some proper pops and bangs.
Day to day living wise, the A110 is a compromised car with very limited space and the mini is a micro estate with enough room for my golf bag or a full weeks Tesco shop.
All in all, I bloody love the mini and do not think you would regret getting it but don't expect it to be an easy car to live with day to day, I am 27 and a closet chav so I will put up with a bumpy ride for something a bit angry and different.
I hope this helps!

Thanks Chris. It wouldn't be a daily for me so no great worries. The Alpine is my Dads but I have stolen it for the past few months while I was awaiting the Mini.

The Alpine's ride was great but I could not get on with the fixed bucket seats which gave me chronic back ache. Indeed I think my days of sports cars are done as the more right angle position of the body to legs is not good for me - it's the position of seating rather than the ride bumpiness that does me in!
That said - is anyone able to compare the ride to the GP2 (which I owned) as I felt that whilst a little fussy the ride was fairly well damped and not too crashy - I had my GP2 as my daily driver with no issues.
