I have a 2015 Countryman Cooper D All4 (R60).
The cruise control has suddenly stopped working, just doesn’t come on. There had been no problems with it the last time it was used , but due to luck down and the fact the nearest motorway is 50 miles away, that was nearly a year ago.
Anyone had similar? Have I turned it off somewhere in the interminable menus?
If something has gone wrong, I’m guessing it won’t be a cheap fix, but I can live without it.

I had this issue, turned out to be a rear brake pad sensor. When we changed the pads we got the garage to do the service reset and it started working again.

Good way to check is if you take your key to mini, if the brake service is showing it stops the cruise.

If you've got an obd reader you can see via that.

Thanks, I have a front brake pad warning light despite 5mm left. Any idea if this affects cruise as well?

Yes, its a failsafe of the system.

You'll need to get the correct pads with the right wear sensors. Then whoever fits them needs to reset the service system on the car via the obd.

Mini or any decent garage should be able to do the above

Its the same system fitted to the e90 series of bmws
