I have a 2019 (68) Countryman. One of the rear outer door handles has been scraped and is losing all of the (fake) chrome coating. Not only is it unsightly it's also very sharp so it's currently covered in silver gaffer tape. Does anyone know how easy this would be to swap and what parts I'd need? I don't want to spend a fortune making it right but I'm willing to have a go myself. Thanks!

Have you considered something like the gloss black door handle covers? There a pretty cheap fix.

Thanks un1eash. I did spot those but the car is a lease so it should go back looking similar to how it was delivered. I've managed to source a handle (only) on eBay for £40. By comparison a set of four covers is nearer £80. I now need to work out whether this can be fitted from the outside or whether the door card needs to come out.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Looks pretty straight forward, assume rear is same as front and looking at my clubman it has the access hole to release the handle.

Long time no update. It's taken me several months to get around to finishing this off!

I bought a replacement door handle from a scrappy on eBay. Watched these Youtube videos on how to change the handle and I managed to do it!

The trick is to tie a piece of string to pull the internal lever out with and then, with it in place, slide the handle towards the front of the car so it catches on the lever. Once it's in place, cut the string and put the outer plate back on. Very easy!

Thanks for all your help!
