Difference between original S and newer?

Does anyone know what the difference is between the original S with 163bhp and the newer one that came out with the cabrio at 170bhp? Was it a completely different supercharger or just a bit of tweaking? Presume they don't make the SCs themselves, anyone know which ones are in them? Just curious...

good point! i have the 'phase2'. i just thought it was different engine 'mapping'.

it's worth remembering that there are 3 versions of the MCS:
a 163bhp old looks
b 163bhp new looks*
c 170bhp new looks*

*i.e. different lights!

although i don't thing there all that many 'b's.

different injectors, different ecu map, and revised gear ratios
