06 mini cooper

ive an 06 cooper and recently the yellow warning light (looks like an engine pic), the one above the "eml" light on the speedo, 1 up from the bottom in the center, keeps coming on and of over the last few weeks, sometimes it stays on for a few days and other times just for an hour or so, any ideas ?
