It was good to get the S out for a run last night and meet some new faces. Shame about the weather though.....

i`m v interested im the f1 test at silverstone and you must tell me more about "tilton"?

I only remembered when I got home last night that I'm in Bruges all of next week so will not be going to Silverstone.

I'll find a suitable place to meet up near Tilton on the Hill for the 9/5 Ashby Folville meet and post the details in due course.

Yes, a good meet last night. Shame it was too dark to take a picture of the line-up along the back of the car park! Looked impressive!

Hopefully when the days get longer and the weather gets better we can do some mini blips around the local area.

Catch you all soon!

Agree with all the above about being a good meet, although as it was my first meet of this kind I don't really have anything to compare with....

Was good to meet everyone though, and all things being equal I will see you again at the next one. Hopefully you don't mind an imposter from Cambs coming over the border occasionally.

Sad piece in local paper last night (Leicester Mercury), said a purple Tuscan crashed on the A14 Wednesday night and the driver was killed. If the report is true (I realise they're not always accurate), hope it's not anyone you know.

Sadly, I've just checked the BBC website and it seems to be true, this is what they said:

Driver dies in collision on A14
The driver of a high powered sports car died when he hit a lamppost on a major trunk road.
The man was driving a purple TVR Tuscan on the A14, about 100 yards from the M1/M6 interchange.

The car collided with a lighting stanchion on the eastbound carriageway late on Wednesday evening.

A Northamptonshire police spokeswoman said the driver was pronounced dead at the scene and would be named when relatives had been informed.

So sad to hear of the death of the driver in the Tuscan.
I know I speak for everyone here when I say we send our condolences to family and friends of the driver.

I saw an Aston Martin smack into what is probably the same lamp post a couple of years back. Just after you come off the roundabout heading East onto the A14.

Sad news and a nasty junction.
