After discussion meets will now be held on a Thursday.

Trading Post complained about us taking up their car parking spaces so we decided not to have our drinks there and went to the Overstone Arms in Pychley instead. (after a rather spectacular blip I must add )

So. Open for venue suggestions. One mentioned was the Hobgoblin just off the A14 South Kettering next to the Odeon Cinema.

Fire away your suggestions Ketteringers

The Horseshoe in Sywell would be a good venue. There's plenty of parking spaces and a nice beer garden. I think they're ok with car meets as I've been to one there before...

personally samuel peyps is good. Plenty of parking and it has its own airfield on the way there

Did you get airborne then??

I'm not fussed where we go. Could always try a few and decide from there.

nope but its a nice bit of road from iselodge through to slipton - very nice twisties with a nice long bit of straight for some good sound clips.

i`ve thought about the peyps but i think we should keep to a kettering/A14 meet. much easier to find for out-of-towners. so what about hobgoblin (or cinema/tescos car park) for the meet, then a convoy to the pepys? or whatever pub takes your fancy?

Being one of the out-of-towners mentioned by Mark, it would nice to meet somewhere that I can find fairly easily. Either that or tell me where I can buy a decent map

Actually think the Pytchley pub is a good venue, but maybe Thurs is not the best night... earlier in the week tends to be quieter and consequently a congregation of PHers might be more welcome than if they were competing with 'regular' punters. If it is there, folk will have to be on best behaviour on the village streets as the locals are hyper sensitive about traffic speed etc

If we meet at the Hobsons Choice place by the cinema next meet we could drive out to the other posible suggestions to show where they are.

I'll happily run off a few maps to detail where suggested meet points are for thos who need them. I'll take ones showing Lowick and Pytchley. Any others I should do?

How about Rockingham raceway? If our meets grow as they are, we could have the venue's inner circuit. Well before its had houses built on it!!!
