Must say I do like Roy Luptons style, especially after his hip replacement; Wheelchair stalking hehe

It's a good program, I enjoy it every week smile

I'd be up for a bit of informal PH clay bashing.

There a couple of PHers over on Shootclay.
Happy to go with the flow. Clays are easier to get a group together.

Ripley is a grand (Ish) each

I moved house back in August and sent my license in to change address. As soon as it gets back to me I look forward to a meet and shooting a few clays again. Not shot for almost 18 months now due to other commitments.

I think Roy is great, tbh all the guys on the channel come across well.

Back on topic I'm after a 12. Have a Browning Medalist 20b that has served me well but thinking of getting a 12bore now. Think I'm going to go keep my eyes open locally for a Browning/Beretta/Lanber. Wouldn't mind picking one up before beaters day and roosting in Feb.

I have SGC, but no shotguns, as only because it was was a tenner on top of my FAC and rifles (and pistols outside the UK) are my thing.

Last time I tried shooting clays was when I was 16, a long time ago. I really should give it another go.

Does anyone know what's the score is on importing or buying shotguns mail order from another country?
You can import guns from other countries, but this really has to be done through a RFD who will import it for you. Just asking an overseas dealer to send you a gun is going to cause you all kinds of problems.
I am sure Dan will find this thread soon who knows all this kind of stuff.

Give a local RFD and your local police force licensing department a call and they will tell you how and what you would need to do.

A 2nd hand Bettinsoli is my first shotgun - been shooting for about two months now. Love it, but want a Berreta as a good gun...

Yeah will have a look at them also. Is dry mounting the best way to get a general idea of gun fit?

Is it worth waiting for The Shooting Show @ Stoneleigh next month, will the guns be a bit cheaper? Should be a number there to look at.

Depends on how well you know your mount.
I can put a gun up and it will "feel" ok or not.
I'm going to the Shooting show I hope depends on what shooting is on that weekend.
