Black Lion squeezed past RC Vannes 22 - 19 in the European Challenge Cup. I think B.L. will be annoyed they didn't score a few more tries & gave away too many penalties. The attendance was somewhat reduced due to the ongoing protests but it was still a good day. And a beer for £1.50 is a bonus!

I'm not really sure I can be bothered with the Champions Cup any more.
The absurdity of inconsistent salary caps coupled with the ludicrous current "Round of 16" knock out phase means that the likes of Toulouse, Leinster and Sharks can pretty much play their U15 teams in the group stages of they went to now that they've knocked up big bonus point wins in the first round, knowing that wherever they finish the group, they can then pretty much field a France, Ireland or Springbok team in the knockout phase to power through from wherever.
Either World Rugby needs to step in and impose a globally consistent salary cap, or the English clubs need to scrap theirs!

reading between the lines in this short piece it does appear that all is not well in the Borthwick set-up. Has SB picked up some bad habits from EJ with regard to coach churn?

Which we weren't, is he going to be a better chairman than his predecessor?
I mean, he may be straight and all those words, but is he a shrewd and dynamic leader?

I'd like to see some much younger faces in place. It's been far too old boys' club forever. There's a place for pensioners in an advisory capacity but the game should be run by dynamic individuals not dinosaurs.https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/articles/c...
