England squad announced with some seemingly bizarre selections.

Freeman at 13 is catching the media’s attention, as is Roebuck at 14 but little is being said about Ford being the only non scrum half replacement in a team that already has Fin at 10 and Marcus at 15? confused

Would love to know what’s going to happen if a centre or wing gets injured?!

Also feel sorry for Willis who seems to be doing a job but has been dropped to the bench. Ditto for Ted Hill who has hardly featured and is now dropped altogether to make room for Pollock.

Overall a pretty odd selection imo.
Typical of what we’ve come to expect of Borthwick. Completely lacking in logic. Apart from his

We (England) have a very good chance of winning the Championship, if France beat Scotland, then we will have won, because we beat France.
You what ?????
Suspect the Welsh may have something to say…
Agreed. That’s a very Welsh way of looking at things wink

Yes, but if France win on Saturday, they will be champions - right?

We - England- beat France, so therefore we must be the champions - right?

Whoever beats the champion, must be the champion. It is common sensingly obvious.
Oh dear

Roof closed? Unusual for England to agree to that. Is rain expected?

It’s impressive to see how many different ways they’ve

Fin Smith was playing so well..we don’t need Ford to manage the game with a 33pt cushion…why bring him on?
To slow things down?

I’m having a glass of champagne in front of the fire with my wife, what are you up to?

Hoped Wales would have made a better fist of it than that. Even the 2 tries they scored were nothing to celebrate.
I don't know how much the crowd had paid to watch that shambles but time is surely up for whatever management Wales now have.

I'm old enough to remember when the Welsh crowd sang actual hymns and arias before a game & had heartfelt pride in their team.
It seem that all that is left for them now is to wear stupid fancy dress & get pissed up.
Yup. There’s no finer sound than hearing a Welsh choir in full flow.

I expect a Lions thread will start up before long, but I'm already wondering if no Welsh in the squad is a probability.
Is there a Welshman who might feel confident of making it?

I did pull a face when I saw George Ford on the subs bench, able to cover probably just the 10 spot, but his eye for the play and those flat, cut-out passes, were sublime.
Yes i had to eat my words somewhat.
