Heads up - TUF starts again this Thursday, 03:00 BT Sport 2. American Top Team Vs Blackzillians.
I've got it at 10pm on BT Sport 1 FYI. Looking forwards to this series, thought it had lost its way the last couple, the fighters seemed to care less, not making weight etc. Hoping being there with their teams will provide some real focus.
Not overly exciting first fight, probably alot of nerves with the 1st fight pressure though.
I taped the 3am show and was watching some of it at the time, next morning I had only the last 16min recorded, the box regularly resets in the early hours, so i've set the recordings for the evening viewing so I don't miss all the action.

Lots of rumors about JJ being involved in a hit and run car accident in Albuquerque. Not wishing to give the rumor mill more credence than it merits but twitter has plenty of speculation. Seems he's just a "person of interest" rather than a warrant being out there for him, but it doesn't sound especially positive.

Anyway, I'm about to sit down and do some work in front of 186, didn't catch it last night.

Bones has been walking the 'douche' line for some time now. Fingers crossed the fight goes ahead and he gets properly battered by rumble.
Having said that, the faux face-off with rumble was very very funny, apparently was JBJ's idea.
Just read the story on MMA Junkie, doesn't look good at all, surely they won't be letting the fight go ahead.Having said that, the faux face-off with rumble was very very funny, apparently was JBJ's idea.
Jones stripped of his title and suspended indefinitely, Cormier replaces him in the fight

I can't help but feel sad, I was a big Jones fan until all this started

Makes for a more interesting fight in my opinion. I can see Jones coming back after doing a bit of jail time. As someone who has spent a lot of my life practicing traditional martial arts with traditional martial artists and Japanese/Buddhist traditions and met a lot of respectful, honest and good people full of integrity and fine moral upstanding because of their practice I'm quite glad that Jon Jones will no longer represent the pinnacle of what it means to be a martial artist.

I think it will be a decent fight, will be cheering rumble on myselfAs someone who has spent a lot of my life practicing traditional martial arts with traditional martial artists and Japanese/Buddhist traditions and met a lot of respectful, honest and good people full of integrity and fine moral upstanding because of their practice I'm quite glad that Jon Jones will no longer represent the pinnacle of what it means to be a martial artist.
I fully understand what you are saying, my sadness comes more from the waste. Youngest UFC champ, 8 defences, he could have been a legend, looks to be throwing it all away, always sad to see.
Personally I don't care about the emotional/traditional fluff that comes with MA, I just want to see the best talent, which JJ is definitely amongst.
It's not career ending stuff. He's too big a name and too big a cash cow for them to close the door on him permanently. It's a perfect marketing narrative - if it was a movie it'd be the biggest cliché ever! - Fallen champion who threw it all away comes back more humble but with a chip on his shoulder and has to work his way back up to the top. It'll be seriously cringe worthy when it happens, but he'll make more money than ever when it does.
I like DC a lot. But I really fancied rumble to beat JJ, so I'm sticking with that.
