SA Mortgage

Hi,

Im just seeing if anyone has experience of a UK mortgage on a SA house ? Is there any specialist firms that do this ?

As Im sure most of you know the mortgage rate in the UK on average is about 5%(ish) and in SA its more like 12%.

I realise I could release equity in my house and so you are effectively funding it at the 5% rate but I don`t have enough equity in the uk house to do this.

Barclays have a specialist facility that caters for off shore mortgages. I'm sure I saw something on their web site.
