For the 1st time ever, Dubai closed a 7km section of the the main road towards Abu Dhabi (infront of the Burj Khalifa) in both directions for fun ride this morning. The event eventually started at 05:30 (should have been 04:30) with 3 exotic Dubai police cars leading the way. Did 4 laps of the 14km course and thought it would be rude not to follow the police at the start.

They were Ok this morning but we've had a bit of rain this afternoon, it does drain well there though. Quite a lot of leaf fall though which can be a bit dicey in places.

I've been stuck in a classroom all week for a professional course, which means I've not been cycling Tue or Thu, as I usually would.
Yesterday, it was -4 at home. I didn't go cycling in that; roads were very icy.

It's weird that, having only been back on my bike for 4 months, I miss it when I can't go out.

Gym today then: indoor cycling.
(It's not the same, despite other "scenery" around.... )
