Massive congratulations to Andy Frost of Penn Autos , Wolverhampton for achieving and regaining the title of the worlds fastest street driven drag car ! Vosa inspected here in the uk and this superb piece of engineering has gone 263 mph in 5.87 seconds! Beating the speed record held by Jeff lutz in the USA which was 251 mph ! 12 mph increase is just insane engineering and what superb team work

Phenomenal!! I don't follow drag racing at all, so watched that run with no real understanding of what the numbers looked like in practice. Holy cow! My eyebrows will be stuck in the up position for the next 10 minutes at least.

If you come along to Santa Pod for The Doorslammers, 15-17 May, your eyebrows will be stuck in the up position for the next 10 days. And they'll be in action again a week later for FIA European Championship Round 1, The Main Event.
