It was still bloody great on Saturday ,with some mighty cars. Much as l love the sound of an angry big block, the astonishing speed of the Fraudster Escort and Fiestaroo (170+ mph ) was amazing .

It's a mystery to me why cars and coffee events attract thousands - blokes stand in field showing off their thrunge sprockets then drive like idiots at the exit- while drag racing's extraordinary spectacle is enjoyed by a select few .
Very true

This is the best Drag Racing event of the year in the UK and the entry looks really good, particularly in Pro Mod with 22 entries (probably 21 after the Dulamon crash at the Nitrolympix), making qualifying crucial with a bump spot after 16 cars. Saturday should be great and if the dew point behaves itself, Fridays Nitro session at dusk will be a real spectacle with 5 TF Dragsters, 4 Fuel Funny Cars, 5 Nostalgia Nitro Cars and 9 Nitro bikes.

The weather looks very good for Friday and Saturday.

Here we are again, 12 months on and looking forward to going on Friday for the weekend. Hopefully the weather is kind. Only 3 TF dragsters but plenty of other stuff going on, this is a great weekend of entertainment for everyone, especially those with kids. Used to take my lad & his mate when they were young ( never charged anything for kids up to about 16 year olds back then). So much going on all day, great value if the weathers good. My mate is coming to me for the Saturday with his son, never been before so can’t wait to see the look on their faces when nearly 20,000 hp launches !!!

I went a few years back.

Standing by the finish line was an extraordinary experience. You'd see the cars start to move and begin to accelerate - and then suddenly they arrived like an explosion. I think it was something crazy like four seconds and 315 mph. Absolutely nuts!

As a comparison, just check out the price for a family day out at Alton Towers or Chessington or the zoo . Think you’ll find it’s quite a cheap day out ! ( and no queues to wait an hour and half for a rollercoaster ride that lasts 30 seconds).

I don't have a family so single day prices are all I am really interested in, it is not hugely dear I admit, having checked 50 odd quid is fair. But not that long ago you could get in on a Friday evening for a tenner! Within the last 20 years!

Yeah, and you could stand in the barn and get the full tyre smoke experience smile
Until H&S ruined the fun !!

You really need to plan your calendar better, I bought my weekend ticket in January.

No I dont actually, I prefer not to line t he pockets of companies months in advance and I do not really follow drag racing to any great degree, but do go occasionally, think I last went about 4 years ago.

Sadly I can’t make tomorrow with my lad any more. Does anyone want the below tickets? Quite good grandstand seats too. Would be a shame for them to go to waste.
