Just picked this up and love it.

Also sold an S2000 which I regret as its not been taxed or Mot'd since I sold it. I fear it may have gone the way of quite a few S2000's. Maybe it'll turn up here?

Maybe just being stored for winter? My S2000 is garaged for winter now. Fingers crossed!

What engine did you go for in the CRV?

Or exported. They’re cheaper here than on the continent, or it may have gone to Ireland.

Stored?
Was sold in July 2019, tax and mot ran out Jan/Feb 20 so it's not been on the road since then.

Gone abroad?
Not sure but there was something about the lad that bought it that's making me fear the worst.

Maybe I shouldn't have sold it, never had the same feelings with any other car.
I sold it as had it for around 9 yrs and was getting tired of feeling the car was always edging me on to drive it like I stole it.
Replaced with a 50 yr old MGB

The CRV is a 2.0 iVtec EX Auto

First one. UK Model Civic CRX 1.6iVT from 1994 to 2002:

Second one. EP3 Type R (never really got on with this, so 2002 to 2004):

Third one. 2002 S2000 from 2004 to 2016, this died on the Kemmel Straight at Spa having covered 144k miles and done about 50 track days:

Fourth and current one. 2009 S2000 from 2016 onwards. Suffered from the infamous 2008/9 engine problem but fortunately was still under extended warranty, so had a new engine fitted this month. Car has covered 23k miles so far, the engine less than 500:

“Please take good care of your S2000, keep it by your side for long and enjoy it from the bottom of your heart. And share the quality and legacy of the S2000 with many friends so that the legend of the S2000 will continue for long”

On that note, has Honda launched that S2000 parts catalogue yet I wonder. I fear I may need to buy some quarters due to a touch of rust forming.

I not sure you'll get quarter panels, never saw them before I had to have mine done.
Long story short, I managed to get someone to cut out the rust and replace with new metal.

That’s what I’m hoping for as it’s minor on mine now. I thought I had read panels would be available on this new Honda catalogue, but I could definitely be wrong!

You can get panels from here: https://www.steelpanels.co.uk/category/honda/s2000... I'm not affiliated in any way

Such underrated cars these. Very nice. I quite like the look of the new ones too although not had a proper poke around yet.

Yes these really are little curios. Not at all quick but I bet they are fun on a sunny day. It could only be Japanese!

My 5th gen VFR800. More incredible design and engineering by Honda... gear driven cams whine as you accelerate, the V4 engine sounds incredible, and this is a 1999 bike - so it is pre-VTEC. Just nice smooth v4 power from 2k rpm all the way to the redline.

The full titanium system and lack of catalyser (these became mandatory from 2000, so I missed it by a year!) combined with the engine and cams makes it sound lush.....

These were around £9000 new back in 1998-2000, nowadays, you can get extremely good examples for £2000 give or take.
