I know in part that classic cars and the type of cars we are talking about are looked after carefully by their owners and therefore pose a reduced risk to insurers - the nightmare cars for insurers are cheap high performance cars - not the value of the car but the possible payout if a friend of theirs is a passenger in the back and is reduced to a vegetative state requiring 24 hour support for the rest of their lives who was just about to go up to Oxford - where the damages claim could be into eight figures (excluding the pence)

However, high-end cars can also get lost or destroyed deliberately - yes, I am referring to you Lord Brocket. I know at one time about 1/3 of all fire claims were dubious

Fitting a tracker to an NSX where sales are I believe around 5 cars per year in the UK is surprising unless they are stolen for parts. Much the same could be said for stealing the Mona Lisa - what can you do with it unless you held for ransom

As I said earlier insuring a car valued at £100k to £150k for £700 per annum, when any repair will start at the low thousands just seems so surprisingly cheap

I own a 2017 NSX had it since 2023 and it was serviced at my local Honda dealer in 2023 2024 and taking back there this year. First year was £850 and second year less than £300 inc the MOT as they had to keep it over night so reduced the bill as a good will gesture. I pay £160 PA for vodaphone tracker. £700 for insurance but i believe this will come down this year? Car is ultra reliable, and i have a front lift kit to avoid speed bumps etc. previously owned 911 turbo, and GT4 and this car is in another league to them. If your thinking of buying one, get it now as they will increase in value due to rarity, only 100 cars supplied to the UK
