about time too definitely deserves a separate forum. cool - i'm not a ricer, and i don't drive a jap-mobile! ironically, both my Civics are made in Swindon.

hope to get an Integra type-R DC5 when my engine expires... to go with a Jerry-mobile... erm, i meant a Porsche 968.

Why do Honda get their own forum and the rest of us Jap Chatters get lumped together confused

Oh, wait, now I see, its to keep the Honda boys out of Japchat

Just kidding, good to see us Riceburners are making an impression

Nah...I think it's 'cause we're more important than all the little boys who NEED a turbo to prove how quick they are.

hehe :coat: :runsandhidesquick:

Regardless, cool to see yet ANOTHER Honda forum on the internet. And if anyone fancies selling me their UKDM DC2...let me know! One fast Honda is no longer enough.

PS...may have to PM someone for that Reims-Route Napoleon route at some point...am trying to convince the Missus that the S2000 would be ideal for a driving hol in France!

This is the Route 27 of of us did this year on the Honda Euro Tour,(our 2nd Euro Tour) Got to say it was one of my best holidays ever, and fuel/accommodation/tolls and ferry only came to about £500 each if 2 sharing. and we did about 2200 miles and the accommodation was all 3 and 4 star We planned the routes in detail on MS autoroute and downloaded them into TOM TOM's we never got lost once. most of the driving roads were B roads and very little motorway was involved. I am just planning the route for 2007
Day 1 Sunday 28th May 2006
We Depart using Speedferries from Dover at 7.00am to Boulogne arrive 8.50am localtime > stopping at Spa Francorchamps for lunch then onto the Nurburgring. Total 306miles 4hrs 46mins

Day 2 Monday 29th May 2006
Nurburgring to Andermatt driving (how fast does your car go ?) and stopping at Hockenheimring for lunch.then heading for Andermatt in Switzerland. Total 390miles 6hrs 2 mins

Day 3 Tuesday 30th May 2006
Andermatt to Val-d'isere
Furka pass Route de grande Alpes Chamonix,
Total Miles 298 7hrs 23 mins (should be shorter timescale but depends on driving speed) for those of you who want to make the driving shorter, take number 5 to number 8 and use the Mont Blanc Tunnel 32€ per car.

Day 4 Wednesday 31st May 2006
Val-d'issere to Cannes
following the Route Des Grand Alps before hitting the coast at Menton and driving the Famous F1 route at Monaco before we head for a well deserved rest at Cannes. Total 332 miles 6hrs 43mins

Day 5 Thursday 1st June 2006
Today is the day of rest for those who want it, You can either stay in bed. go to the beach, pub, shops etc. or drive to Monaco, Nice etc. for the die hards you can head back to the mountains for more driving.

Cannes

Monaco

Nice

Day 6 Friday 2nd June 2006
After a day of relaxing. we leave Cannes and follow the famous N85 "Route Napoleon which according to my French friends is the best road in Europe. We then travel past the Verdon Gorge and Grenoble before arriving at Bourg-en-Bresse
for our final night. Total 302 miles 6 hrs 32mins (this is slow driving)
[img][/img]

Day 7 Saturday 3rd June 2006
Bourg-en-Bresse to Boulogne
We don't have to leave Bourg-en-Bresse until around 10am and we travel up the French Toll roads about £30 before arriving at Geuex Reims where we can walk around the old pits and track before we head for our ferry at 8.00pm. (arrive Dover 7.50pm) Say our goodbyes and get back to post our photos and stories. We intend to keep this route up for one week for any comments before we freeze the route. soon we will need to start securing hotel bookings etc.
Total 455 miles 7hrs 30mins (should be a lot quicker)

*loud obvious cough*
I presume those dates are actually 2007 - seeing as May/June 2006 has passed already?!
Or is that a recap of the one just done to give us a taste of what to expect?
