Loved this thread, some great cars/photos, love the variety and creativity in set ups.
The Peugeot race car is <3
Happy to see a Fiat coupe 20vt still being driven in anger, rarely see those on the road now, much under-rated car I always liked.
400bhp supercharged VX220 looks amazing, another initially under-rated car, which I think its great, reflected in pricing these days.

If you don't mind FWD, ST170 is an excellent cheap track day car Posted here about a year ago with my K20 Honda Elige, since then had some stuff done;
Quaife RWD K20 LSD
Uprated steering arms for more -ve front camber
2-11 Race car front Splitter
Extended rear diffuser
Reverie canards
1.6kg battery
Drove it to and on the Ring on three trips, trackdays and Spa, Zolder and multiple UK tracks oh and Misha Charoudin drove it for his channel:
https://youtu.be/fzN7XGP-HQw
I had some fun annoying a BMW at Spa:

About 8k miles done in a year and the only thing that went wrong was a split hose. Otherwise been fabulously reliable.

Have gone from this 400 horse piece of fun, (loads of TDs, club sprints and several drag days).

To this little relative cheapy. Lots of mods, brakes, steering, suspension, wheels and tyres etc, etc. about 240 bhp.
Really looking forward to trying it out on track. After the TVR I'm even looking forward to wet TDs!
Just noticed, TDs are filling up really fast..........

I've been passed on a couple of TD's by the same V8 Sierra, (not the car above).
Great to see them on track, reminds me of my company cars back in the day............
Never seen another Sierra XR8 at track days but there's a couple which race in other series.Great to see them on track, reminds me of my company cars back in the day............
Do you have any details including which circuits please?

A white Sierra, side exhaust, I believe it may have been a special.
Both times at Snetterton. I have a clip somewhere where he passes me on a bend from memory. Tut tut

Snetterton is our local track which we use fairly often for shakedowns and development. But never seen a white Sierra XR8 there (the proper colour).

What a memory!
It was a red car! It was five years ago. It was you!
Obviously in the early stages of development, it went really well.
I had just left the pits on my first lap in the blue Chimaera.
Happy days!
Before it sprouted XR4/8 biplane wing and XR8 eyebrow spats. Got much faster since those early days. With anticipation of derisory comments about car and driver, here's my son racing at Oulton It was a red car! It was five years ago. It was you!

Not at all. I enjoyed that over a cup of coffee.
Nice and tidy, no drama!
Off topic. I drove to Spain in my company Sierra 2.0 GL back in about 86. Once we were through past Paris you could really keep your foot down. We covered just under 800 miles in less than 9 hours. Including lunch and fuel stops. Traffic was none existent! Sierra was shagged on returning to Blighty. Less than 30K on the clock and using oil like an Essex girl on a sun-bed!
Very happy memories!
BTW, what was the power of your Sierra back in 2016?

We are a little coy about disclosing exact dyno power figures but let's say well over 500hp. Engine spec hasn't changed since the car was built, but initially the chassis couldn't cope. After much development, the chassis works well now even though we still experience both rear wheels spinning up to 120mph on wet track surfaces.
