In my Clio RS200 Cup, the rear does go light while flat out around Church. It's so exhilarating feeling a car on its edge, and the slightest lift on the throttle would have me on the grass. Brilliant fun! My M2 while so much faster, wouldn't have the edge-of-your-seat kind of driving, which I bloody love from the Clio.

My friend was in his Clubsport spec E46 M3 and he has no such worries. So yes, it does appear to be an FWD thing
More throttle and earlier in the M2 and you should be very much edge of seat!!

I have no doubt about that laugh.

Truth be told, I need more seat time in my M2. Having come from a long line of hot hatches, stepping into an M car has felt like learning to drive again. There's also the financial side to tracking my M2, having a bump would be far more of a headache than if I did the same in my Clio RS

You will be fine in a Swift Sport OP. The day I did there was plenty of lower powered stuff there. You can come up on things a bit quick if you are a bit more adventurous with the higher speed corners but the track is really wide and easy to pass on so keep a vague eye on your mirrors and you should be fine.

Video from my day below, I'm only in an I30N so 270bhp, think the fastest thing on the day was an E90M3 but most of the attendees were lower - mid end hot hatches. Can see in the video loads of non turbo Fiesta STs, Fiat Punto (non turbo), Suzuki Ignis, Ford Puma, a 2.0 non turbo Impreza wagon (his track car had broken), as others have said it can be quite a lot up to the driver. Think I was carrying about 15mph more than the Ultima through the faster corners. There was a guy out on track in a newish supercharged Range Rover, left me for dead on the straighter bits but was a bit oil tanker in the bendy bits.

Should be ok for brakes, in a Swift I think you would only use them hard for the last chicane and a bit into the first complex and would manage the rest of the lap flat or just lifting.

I enjoyed the track more than I thought I would.
