Currently negotiating a supplier retainer with a client (we will be employed as a company - not as individual employees).

I was just wondering whether there are any employment laws that I should be aware of when negotiating the contract.

I would assume that this is a conventional B2B business arrangement, but as we are essentially going to be employed part time to work on their business whether they have some additional obligations towards us due to employment law?

I heard recently that the laws around contracting had changed, just wondering whether this would also affect us?

Thanks

surely Business A would just set up a contract with business B to supply said service for X amount of time over a week/ month/ year basis?

I've had plenty service contracts with companies providing consultancy services/ auditing/ engineer visits/ servicing/ PAT tests/ Occ health visits..... a huge variety of different services for differing time frames.

Dont think of this as an employment contract, its not. I think you are concerning yourself with the enforcement of IR35 on government agencies using contractors who are disguised employees. If you a genuinely a limited company offering your services to another business that only requires your services for a set amount of hours/ days leaving you free to work on other contracts, then you shouldnt have to worry.
