RAF Interview - What to expect?
Discussion
Just be honest.
When I had mine (got in but a major round of cuts happened before I was supposed do join scuppered that...) there were 2 interviews about 2 hours apart and they both asked the same questions. The 2nd one had loads of notes to check my answers so be honest with the interviewer. Also, as has been said, make sure you are smart.

Get along to egoat, they should be better placed to help.
I don't supposed you have links by any chance? I can't use any search functions on websites for some odd reason (suspect its something to do with our IT system), and I'm trying not to make it too obvious to my work what i'm doing! Thanks for the other suggestions!

My brother went through the interview but was turned down (for a piloting role) in the end as he mentioned on his application that he'd suffered from hay fever in the past. Big no no apparently!
What was more annoying was that'd he'd mentioned this right from the off on his application. He'd already been to the local lectures, had an interview of sorts at the local office etc but it wasn't until after the main interview it was brought up, after a few months of being led up the garden path. Not impressed with their recruiting process....
PS I'd loved to have done it but my eyesight's not up to scratch (fine for flying 100's of passengers though )

Eeee, it's all changed since my day. When I joined the elite Special Forces RAF Police, it was a quick limb check (two arms, tick, two legs, tick) a cup of the balls and a cough and that was it.
If you were a RAF copper surely they'd have checked that your pointing finger on your right hand was working? Barrier up, barrier down. Job done.

On day 1 at Dartmouth the legendary PMO Cdr Rick Jolly (Falklands war battlefield surgeon) asked why we had joined the Navy. Numerous hands went up and stated 'career', challenge etc.
He stated very eloquently that we had joined to die, because that is ultimately what we could be ordered to do. Made the very full hall we were in go very silent indeed.

It's alright, I posted it in the P&P for exactly that reason, i stood half a chance of getting some answers before it was moved to the "relevant" forum
Thanks for the suggestions, I'm a little nervous as I'm extremely keen on getting to the next stage, just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed anything!!

So theres an obvious aptitute question they could ask you:
You are a forum moderator, and someone starts a thread which doesnt belong in any particular sector. Where should it be moved to, and why?
Oh, a few more hits:
-growing a moustache wont help
-aircraft recogntion isnt needed at this stage
-Dont say your favourite film is Top Gun. And dont say "hell, you can be MY wingman" to any of the interviewees. At all. Or that you want to join bcause you feel the need...the need for speed
-Have a look on Youtube. There was a programme in the 90s about joining the RAF and some of the episodes are still on there. Its a logn time ago so I wouldnt rely on it, but it might give you a flavour.
-get fit. Fitter then you are now
(these kast 2 bits are serious). I'm jealous, as I wanted to join the RAF as Tornado aircrew, but my asthma prevented it. One of my regrets in life.

RAF interview, eh?
They'll ask if the idea of being military is something you look forward to. If you answer 'yes' you'll not get the job and be sent to the Army or RN. Civvy in uniform anyone..?
ETA: Good luck mate, hope it goes well for ya! Just be honest and be yourself. Don't come across as arrogant but at the same time not a shrinking violet. If you're cut out for it they'll see it. If you're not you're not!
Good luck again!
