Are there not some decent lease deals kicking about?
CVL had one.
Maybe cheaper than buying.

My x3m lease deal way cheaper overall than pcp.

Problem for me is the larger discounts seem to either be on pre-LCI cars or pretty bog standard cars with very few or decent options such as buckets and full leather.
What's the general consensus regarding pre-LCI vs LCI?

I'm new to the market and in my eyes the LCI hasn't improved the look of the interior vents nor the headlamps visually, also I believe the headlamps are poorer because they've dropped the laserlights?

In addition, can you feel the extra shove?

I'm interested to see if there are strong deals available on the remaining old stock or whether it's worth potentially paying more for the LCI?

Cheers.

I own a pre-LCI myself so I'd have to go LCI for the same/similar model.

But apparently a previous owner of a pre-LCI who has now had an LCI and now CS, did remark they noticed a difference in the power, delivery and to some intents the handling/chassis/suspension. But who knows for sure.

Discount was on new factory order, cars that the dealer had due in but were spec changeable.
Where these prices at local dealers to you when sitting in front of them or on the phone. or where they comparison site ? Carwow quote was only offering about 11% discount .

74-75k for a lightly specced touring sounds reasonable when they want low 60’s for a good specced M340i touring now they have downgrade the spec and make you pay for leather and 19inch wheels!!!!

Hi apologies, I’ve just seen your message. These discounts were sat in the dealer, I haven’t bought one yet and get the impression from some email exchanges there’s more to be had.

There’s a couple of used examples with my spec and under 3k miles that would equal a saving from list of circa 25k. So I’m swaying towards used.

Thanks for the update. 25k off list sounds good .
Are you looking for ultimate pack , I see now you’ve got to pay extra for the carbon seats on new 25 models

I’m holding out to later in the year to see if can pick one up in decent spec for sub 65k .

I've now seen brokers (Drivethedeal) offering £15k off new M3 Tourings, bringing a reasonably specced new model to around £75k - but with 4.9% APR.

Most used examples are still in the 69-75k category, but most likely at 9.9% or more so ultimately more expensive.

Very tempted to press the button before the end of the year if I get to return my company lease.

A new car makes more sense than used.

I am in a similar boat. I have changed roles and was considering coming out of my 12 month old X5 into an older 840i at half the cost as I only need to travel to the airport now.

Problem is on finance they are the same price effectively as the finance on the new X5 was so cheap.

Problem is I keep looking at M3 Tourings and think life’s too short.

At least in Aus the market there are discounts. Can get a pre LCI car for about AU180K all in, as opposed to ~200k all in this time last year

Just purchased a dravit grey car with 2000 kms privately for $155k although annoyingly it has developed an air con fault between testing it and collecting it. That car was 210k new last year.

So I think the supply is a bit better than it was here, the LCI is putting some pressure on the new price and the used market is behaving a little more like normal.

Incidentally anyone else had cold air out of one vent, warm air otherwise?

Had this from TRL:

Merino leather is now a cost option? That was a standard option on my X3M.

Any idea why the ultimate pack is £7,275 on the BMW configurator but more than £10k on that list?

There are some proper big ticket items there that don’t increase GFV. Wow, puts it into perspective.

Anyone ordering at the moment - have you been told anything about delivery dates?

It looks like road tax initial payment is doubling in April, which would add another ~£2.5k to the OTR price.

I placed an order a couple of weeks ago, no production slot confirmed yet. Negotiated the deal just before the budget so no discussion was had around April's VED hike.

I want an Individual colour and I need it delivered and run-in in time for a Euro trip in June. It seems crazy to say, but it's already looking a bit tight!

I think you just need to drive them both and see what you can see…

People buying the latest and greatest will naturally say it’s a night and day difference to justify their new purchase.

People with the outgoing model will say there’s no difference as they don’t want to believe there’s anything better.

I’ve seen one guy say he drove both and didn’t feel any difference… I’m certain there will be more shove in the 530 car, but whether it needs it or not is a different issue.

I’ve got a pre LCI ultimate pack car which is great, it has all the bits inc buckets and full leather.. headlights to look at I like both equally but love how the lasers function on mine, I think they’ve made a bit of a mess of the dash in honesty, so no real desire to pay more to change. I’m also planning on tuning so with no hardware changes the power increase isn’t relevant.

I had my car in for an MOT today and was chatting with a salesman. He thought that a factory order M3T today would be delivered around April eek

What spec have you gone for? Did you get the pricing listed above, or was there any more wiggle room?

I feel it’s a good time to buy. My local dealership has a demo that they also want to sell - but haven’t given any solid numbers on it. From my calcs on their spec ( ultimate + buckets + a few bits + paints ) it would cost about £87k to buy with the current discounts, and they will have done a few thousand miles on it - which I would assume would knock 10% off it and bring it to £80k, but I can’t see any cars on autotrader listed at this price so who knows!

Have you checked the DriveTheDeal pricing?
