Anyone know the correct wheel width/diameter and the right tyre sizes for a CSL?

Mate just bought one with 20" wheels fitted and since they are badly kerbed with nearly illegal tyre tread depth, he wants to put the wheels back to stock.

Does anyone refurbish alloys or are they scrap if tatty?

Thanx.

He should buy some original BBS CSL wheels from BMW, they can be had for around a grand inc VAT from Murketts BMW.

Fronts wheels are 8.5 wide (different width and offset to the M3 cs lookalike wheels to add to the CSL track)
Rears are 9.5 wide I believe.

Tyres are:

235/35/19
265/30/19

Michelin pilot sport cups which are an oversized tyre so wider than a normal 265, there is also a letter to download to keep in the glovebox which explains to the nice policeman why the outer part of the tyre has no tread but is still legal.

Criminal, to fit 20" wheels to such a car. Bling, bling.. ugghh!

As Nathan says, the precious OEM BBS wheels are available for around £1000 + tyres but only to CSL owners who can provide a valid chassis number. Murketts have supplied some 30 or more sets of wheels to customers in various countries. Tell him to give Adrian Gibbins (After Sales Manager a ring on 01480 459551) and refer him to the group deal I set up with them. Price is around 20% less than standard retail.
