Ah, I had a feeling that was the case but when I did a quick search on tinterweb, it listed manual and SMG but I guess they were probably referring to the standard M3.

well technically SMG is manual gearbox hence why some sites may list it as manual...BMW do.

Hah Hah! Yes, the CSL only came with SMG II which as you know a manual gearbox wrapped in a hydraulic system for sequential shifting.

Sorry about the leg pulling question. It happened to me on this forum before, of course all in the spirit of good fun.
