Picked up my first MX5 this week, absolutely loving it!

It’s a Sport with Bose and A/C, 33k with FSH and from what I can see no rust. Just need to sort out the yellow cloudy headlights and sort out the ride height.

Thanks Scho. Pics were taken by the seller.. I have since fitted a "Stubby" aerial and my personalized plate since then.

Hopefully post my own pics soon!

Got my fourth a couple weeks back. This time an NC. All others were NBs. LOVE IT.

2.0 sport with Bose. Of course most importantly - no rust.

First '5' after many years of V8 two seaters.

Cannot say how impressed I am with this little beauty. Launch edition of NC series with loads of extras. 2 litre unit, Bilstein, Bose, Leather etc etc.

Only 30k miles and absolutely immaculate. FSH and all bills.

Nice.

I came from a big V8 as well. I sometimes miss the torque and the sound, but the MX5 is so much fun, it's hard to think of anything else which is much more fun really... Here's my Sport Tech:

looks great. Does anyone know about getting the body kit added? is that a possibility and is it via a mazda dealer ?

It's a dealer fit option, seperate prices for the front, side, and rear trims and they're not cheap. If you just want the parts MX5parts have them:

https://www.mx5parts.co.uk/front-skirt-black-mk4-p...
https://www.mx5parts.co.uk/side-skirts-black-mk4-p...
https://www.mx5parts.co.uk/rear-airdam-skirt-black...

Nearly £900 inc VAT for the bits. Their accessories are always silly money, I bought the perspex wind deflector recently and that was £160, but oddly I think I only paid £180 fitted for the Mazda (Eibach) lowering springs when I ordered the car!

3rd MX-5 but my first NB.

Turbo conversion (200bhp/243bhp maps) and a whole host of other tasty modifications, all of which have been carried out by reputable garages within the last 3000 miles (standard before then). Sills replaced last year, chassis rails replaced this year (MX-5 Restorer). Matching hardtop as well smile

Not collecting until Friday, but I think it's a fitting replacement for my old MR2 Turbo. Certainly a lot more playful.

I'm very excited.

Picture of my second NA after a trip up to the Lake District for a wedding, last year:

Fantastic condition and only 60k from new. Sold to a friend on the proviso that I get first refusal if he decides to sell. Made way for this:

The first NA died a horrible death 3 years ago, after a home supercharged build. Here it is next to my friend's ND in 2017:

It was pretty ratty anyway and was broken to fund the MR2 Turbo which has just made way for the NB at the top. Full circle (pic of MR2, because why not):

And finally, a picture of my old NA and MR2 together at Caffeine and Machine:

Picked up a rolling project last week, slowly building a list of jobs to do and recording those in a readers cars thread.

1992 UK SE, had a 93 release 2 of these around 20 years ago and after selling my Boxster S have been looking for one of these as a weekend toy.
Bit scruffy around the edges and looks better in the photos than reality, needs the rear passenger wing painting and a patch on the bottom of the front wing. Sills all done in 2017 and drives well. Just purchased a OEM cam cover gasket as that appears to be leaking. Looking to do the spannering myself. Also need to find an original steering wheel

Tidy looking example. thumbup Genuine Rev 5 or a retrofit rear spoiler?

Enkei RP01s and, if I'm not mistaken, a Blitz Nur-Spec R peeking out from the rear bumper.

I know another PHer with a turbocharged MX5. First generation: pop-up headlights get extra Nectar points. smile

93 Eunos S Special. I've had this for nearly 6 months now. Should have had one years ago but never seemed to get around to it, but can't imagine not having one now.

Thanks thumbup it was a good one. Rev 3 with a Rev 5 carbon blade smile

Nur-Spec indeed, very loud and very flamey!

At the end of last year I had two cars with pop-ups, now I have none frown

Sold the ND purely due to lack of use, replaced with a cheaper NC
