There is the potential advantage of sourcing a RHD American car in the UK that has been here from new and possibly 'cherished'. If you go 'off piste' with something like a Rambler/AMC group vehicle you could bag a bargain. As for not wanting to drive LHD vehicles in a RHD country - I can understand the reluctance to do that if perhaps using on a daily basis - although there are some yanks that are problematical in visibility terms where you need all the help you can get (current model Camaro's - 71' - '73 Breadvan Mustangs are just two that come to mind) A 'full' set of mirrors helps. I've always jumped from LHD to RHD cars without thinking about it - LHD vs RHD each have their own visibility/vehicle placement issues. In a world where so many drivers have poor lane disipline a LHD driving position can give you a far better view of the road ahead in bumper to bumper heavy traffic conditions where all drivers are hogging the centre of the road looking for an opportunity to overtake.
