I've been trying to find a titanium watch for my collection, but I'm struggling to find something I really like for sensible money, in a complete turnaround I've started looking at Spinnaker watches again, especially as they have 20% off at the moment!!!
This comes in under the thread budget, not sure if your thing though. They do 3 colours, black, blue, green. Google Citizen Garison.

Thanks for the responses chaps, I have read about Ti watches being very prone to scratches, I hadn't thought about Zelos or Bolder, I shall take myself off and investigamagate.........
I’d second the recommendation for a Boldr. I’ve had a Venture Titanium Automatic for a while now and it’s been excellent. Drooles said:

I know this is unusual for me, but i appear to have changed my mind, i quite fancy a Spinnaker Hass MCS................
I'm impressed with Spinnaker. After the recent loss of all my stuff I've become quite nostalgic for the watches I've had, the Spinnaker high among them. Once things have settled I'll replace a few but I certainly won't be doing the 20-odd in a one-er!Barchettaman said:
Yes. The original 55mm Fliegers go for €4.5k plus, and if that one is in unusually good condition then it sounds about right. Maybe a bit toppy but I’m no expert.
The original WW2 IWC Fliegers go for even more as they are extremely scarce, if I remember correctly. €10k or more.
The moral is: the Laco watches for £150 from Secret Sales are the ones to get!
I thought Wempe were the rarest. May be wrong. The original WW2 IWC Fliegers go for even more as they are extremely scarce, if I remember correctly. €10k or more.

A bit more research reveals that you’re absolutely right. Wempe only made 60, IWC made 1200, and the others 6000ish. Laco also do an Erbstück 55mm Flieger recreation which is about as near as you can get to the original for semi-sensible money, unless you happen to have a great-great uncle who flew for the Luftwaffe and has one in a drawer.

Here you go. Apologies, it’s only a phone shot. One of the things that really appealed to me when buying it was the 200m water resistance; 20atm should just about be visible in the picture
Cheers. One of those is going on the list, summer purchase at this rate I think... Barchettaman said:

No ex-Luftwaffe Uncles here unfortunately!Laco also do an Erbstück 55mm Flieger recreation which is about as near as you can get to the original for semi-sensible money, unless you happen to have a great-great uncle who flew for the Luftwaffe and has one in a drawer.
I am an avid collector (although i'm down to only a two watch collection now after once having eight at the most so an amateur lol). I only know that as my Brother asked me for a guy at work who had one and wanted to know more about about it so he asked me. I did some research for him but Fleiger's are definitely not my area of expertise (although one of my two is a Sinn 857UTC which is such a great beater).

That Sinn is an excellent watch, and to swing the discussion round to something in-budget and related, Merkur do what looks like a rather nice homage/clone/rip-off (delete as appropriate) version of it:I am an avid collector […] one of my two is a Sinn 857UTC which is such a great beater).

Cheers mate! Yeah i love it but even by Sinn standards they're not a common sight in the wild. It has quite a bit of the Sinn tech in it compared to their really high-end stuff (Tegimented, AR) and is practically indestructible. I worry more about what i bang it into than the other way round!https://youtu.be/6fQIN0X40D8
Tell you what thanks for showing me that i've never seen that before. Also yes totally right to get it back on budget / price point!
