I wish I’d never seen this thread. hehe

After being happy with the Steeldive I got the Tandorio. Scrolling through EBay tonight I found another Tandorio that caught my eye. Appropriately named the Monster. Seiko NH36A movement. Advertised new at $79.20 with that most evil of all devices - the “make offer” button. So I offered $65 and he only bloody accepted it!

Is that right? That's awesome knowledge, will take on board!

Eta.. Looks like more than 2mm under..

I knew it was under, was just giving it a swing at 2mm. Definitely looks more. Looks like a tiny strap by today's standard. I actually got both but they are fitted in size (and both were less than 5 quid iirc hehe)

Arghhhh, I knew it was a bad idea coming here this morning.
Saw a Blue Tudor Pelegos in the flesh a few months ago and really liked it.
Obviously wasn’t going to drop £4k on one….but £175 seems much more reasonable!
So I’ve just bought it - will report back when it turns up!
Good man. Think I'll do the same, on a blue rubber strap.
Can those people who ordered San Martin Pelagoses (Pelagosi?) please hurry up and get them so I can spend more money I don't have on another watch I don't need?

Thanks muchly!

So I bought a third Timex, there's some issues I have with buying things in threes. Anyway, I rather like this..

Cool strap on it too.

For under £40 I really can't knock it. Only criticism I'd had of any of these Timex analogues is that they tick really loud. But the cool Indiglo really makes up for it.
I have that exact one, with the same strap! Had it for a good 20 years! They are genuinely good watches.

We need a support group. The Breitling is at the pawn brokers and the Aston is up for sale. I tried prostitution but the demand for fat middle aged blokes in the sex industry was somewhat less than what I had hoped for. All to support this habit that I've been lured into and now can't stop. They entice you in with a Casio or a Steeledive, it seems innocent enough but those are just gateway drugs, once they have you it's a downward spiral into addiction and oblivion. People need to be warned, this thread should carry a government health warning.

Somebody needs to do something before it's too late! yikes

Sounds like a perfectly acceptable state of affairs.

Anyway, we are our own support group.

Damn this thread.
Had this in the basket for weeks at Aliexpress.

At 21 EUR (!!!!) it would have been rude not to order it.
Got my father (not a watch guy) the real black one (white markers) a while ago and he wears it quite often.

I've been hovering over buying that for a while but the reviews about the difficulty of removing links put me off. Did you have to remove any?

This might not be the correct thread but is anyone looking at getting the new Casio LF-20W-1AEF?

https://www.casio.co.uk/lf-20w-1aef

It seems to be the next biggest thing since the F-91W when you read the reviews online.

Someone else has one on this thread somewhere. Might be worth hunting them down.

Was perusing Casio watches and clicked this.

Just out of budget.

(This is crazy pricing, right? It's not just me?)

I've had my eye on that San Martin Pelagos, went to buy one a couple of days ago and they don't have any in stock in black (I like the blue but already got an all blue diver)

Apparently more stock in July, so bought one of these to tide me over

Loving that, will have to have a look...

Someone is selling a sterile dial version of that, can’t remember who, I will report back. It’s about 40% cheaper than the Baltany one.

Thanks to a combination of peeking into this thread, a surely related drip drip of Facebook adverts, and 6 days in the USA last week where I actually wore a watch for the first time in years I’m thinking of getting either:

A Festina (F20519/1 https://www.zeitlounge.com/en/festina-chronograph-...

or Lorus (https://www.loruswatches.com/Watch/RM303JX9 or perhaps this https://www.loruswatches.com/Watch/RH947LX9 )

Or possibly an Avi-8 although some of the feedback I saw on here suggested they were perhaps poor value for money (and maybe the same applies or Lorus/Festina for all I know..)?

I’ll probably revert to rarely wearing a watch now I’m back in the UK but feel I can almost justify the price of something new given the £25 Red Herring (Debenhams!) watch I was wearing has attracted some internal condensation after just a few days of daily wear!
