Still rocking the Christopher Ward Sealander homage.

I probably need a black strap with yellow stitching, or some other black/yellow option that isn't a Nato.

Got into London, ate a delicious meal around Marylebone, and back out again, all without having it torn from my wrist. Phew!

Just added this to the collection. I had the previous generation Speedy Moonwatch but it was sold to fund the Apollo 11 50th version. I always missed the original so just had to get another. The bracelet is soooo much better now!

Managed to get this as a brand new piece but for a decent discount. In the Dubai, one of the local banks runs various lucky draws for customers to win watches, cars etc. One of these happened recently as 3 cropped up on the local classifieds, all the same. Unopened, full set etc. I paid close to £3900 for it which I thought was a decent deal (hesalite model).

For work reasons, I have a meeting with WoS CFO, Treasurer and team this afternoon.

I would never normally wear an expensive watch to a meeting like this, but I suspect today is not the day to be wearing a smartwatch...

1974 Genève automatic calendar. One previous owner, my Granddad.

A treat to wear on special occasions when the new stuff is just so big. I've swapped out the original black leather straps to keep them pristine and changed to a gold mesh band that's sort of in keeping for the age/style.

Daily is Tag Heuer connected E4, 42mm, but even that seems big in comparison

Depends what you want them to think about your fees. This is what my gshocks are for.

our fees...reassuringly expensive?

Anyway, we got through to the next round, so no Casios for me in next week's meeting.

They joked that they could use someone seconded to their head office.

Keen. Someone else can run my lot for a while, they aren't difficult..

There are a host of people on the Rolex thread who are now working out their strategy to use your upcoming meeting to move themselves Up The List.

You’d best go into hiding..!

(I’m happy to be on the client side - and I never judge any advisers by the watches they wear…too much..! laugh)
