A surprisingly small and delicate watch. Nothing like the other Rolex sports models, apart maybe the original Yacht Master which has a similarly curved car and slim lugs. But the bezel on the YM oversized it, the Daytona's heavily angled ceramic one does not have the same effect.

I wasn’t sad to sell my white dial a year ago, I thought it was exactly the right thing to do because I never felt it was really me!
But recently I’ve been having ideas about the black dial version and I think a BIG part of the problem with the white dial for me personally was that it was too pretty, too “smart” almost dressy for me and because I bought it new and because I was never quite sure about it, it never got a single scratch and that then stopped me wearing it until I decided that values had got out of had / peaked and it should go!
Now I find myself thinking a used black dial with “signs of wear” might be a great thing to own and WEAR!
I’ve previously only owned one white dial watch and sold it after 6 months
I like seeing them on OTHER people!

Understood Fin and I had the same thoughts when they asked me if I wanted this one. I love this as one of my few white dialed watches. Helps that the face contrasts with my skin colour so much.
Resale on this won't be that easy as it is well used and scratched!
This would work for me!Resale on this won't be that easy as it is well used and scratched!
I once had a GMT bracelet brushed, then repolished the centre links and it did work out well but I would still be nervous and would need the top of the lugs brushed too

What’s the story with the dial? Looks very nice
The Superocean Heritage ’57 Capsule collection pays tribute to the original 1957 SuperOcean and the cool, laid-back surfing lifestyle of the 1960s. This colorful variation comes in a limited edition of 1000 pieces. The 42 mm stainless-steel case features two signature elements of the original SuperOcean: a concave bidirectional ceramic bezel and a dial featuring oversized indices. Paired with a mesh bracelet or a gold brown calfskin leather strap that fits both a stainless-steel pin or folding buckle, this colorful Superocean Heritage ‘57 is powered by the Breitling Caliber 10, a COSC-certified chronometer.deebs said:
I really like it. I was a bit worried about the size of it originally as it’s smaller at 38mm than I’m used too, but it wears bigger than it is I think. The proportions are actually perfect, and the bracelet is no where near as hair pulley as some would have you believe. If you’re proper hairy it may be a problem, but if you’re not an ape, or you shave your arms you’ll be ok. The crystal is plastic so you’ll do well to have some polywatch in stock if you’ve not already. The friction bezel is ok, enough grip that it won’t move through normal wear but if you use the bezel for timing your eggs alot then it’ll obviously become looser. As it’s quartz it keeps perfect time as you’d expect. Overall it’s a really decent watch for not alot of money, and well worth the £112 as they are at the moment. If for whatever reason this one died tomorrow I’d happily buy another to replace it.
