That could be the most unexpected wrist shot I’ve seen, it would be great if it started a trend of odd shots / the opposite of the cringey glass of expensive whiskey / cigar / classic pen knife (what is it with the pen knife?) steering wheel that you see in so many wrist shot or Hodinkee type photosNDA said:
How are you finding the new bracelet?
I mentioned a while ago that I had a Reverso in all gold - I was always fascinated by the engineering in all gold.
Super happy with it mate. Doesn't catch hairs and is comfy, I do feel the watch 'always there' now though compared to when I wore rubber or leather. A definite heft being 1/4 kilo.I mentioned a while ago that I had a Reverso in all gold - I was always fascinated by the engineering in all gold.
I really love the polished beveled edges coupled with brushed face of the bracelet, there is some real precision. I'm not sure if the pins are full gold or not, so will be interesting to see if there is stretch in the future.

Not sure about the pins - or whether they might put ceramic sleeves in there.I really love the polished beveled edges coupled with brushed face of the bracelet, there is some real precision. I really like the heft of a gold watch... it's a lovely watch and I'm only slightly jelly bags.
Did you mention a while back that you were expecting a wait of a few months for it - but then got it more quickly?

The wait when I ordered was supposed to be 6-12 months with 12 months being closer to what was expected. I only put in the request this year, so my boutique was surprised to find it shipped to them last week. I really didn't think they would let me have it as prior experience with PP/AP/Rolex, they really do not like you ordering parts from other watches. VC have been nothing but amazing with all of my requests, especially on the custom straps I want.I really like the heft of a gold watch... it's a lovely watch and I'm only slightly jelly bags.

Switching the VC to full gold though has changed my wishlist for further full gold overseas. Originally I thought I wanted the gold perp cal 4300V, but now it is removed from my list as I am not so sure I would garner further enjoyment from it for the much increased barrier to entry. If the skeleton becomes available, then that's a different matter...
The main plan this year is to consolidate down to 3-5 main watches and just be happy with my lot.
The permanent 3 so far will be:
VC 5500V (what I'm wearing)
Rolex RG DD40 RBR Eisenkiel
ALS 142.031 Zeitwerk
Movers:
PP 5980 1AR as I never really gelled with the watch. So many people 'ooh a nautilus', for me I think I will swap this out for an ALS Odysseus.
VC traditionelle complete cal as my Zeitwerk will take its place.
Bluesy/Batman/sub no date, I just feel like I have completed that stage already
Beaters:
DJ
explorer 2 in black and white
Watches on my radar:
ALS Odysseus
Czapek
PP world time
VC 222
VC 1921
Rolex 1908

Probably said this last time I added a new watch, but the next has to be a different case style, square / oblong etc.
I've just updated my storage and display/watch case.I can highly recommend;
TAWBURY - I bought the 24 watch box, quality is good for the money.

I also recommend TO THE HOUR who do watch boxes based on the Peli Case which was a recommendation from here. I bought the small 1x watch travel case and the 40 watch slot case for storage. I think they're good value for money and I'm really impressed with them.

Are those all toy hats?
Full size helmets. Just replicas, some I had sprayed locally and some from CM helmets.don logan said:

Sorry. I used 'hats' perjoratively, but I called them toys because I didn't know what else to call them, and the one on your finger is obviously not full size. I've never seen the like.
You’ve never seen an F1 Thimble? :-)M1K3 said:

I know what you mean... I recently bought a jubilee strap for my oyster equipped Sky Dweller, I didn't think they'd let me as it theoretically makes the watch seem two years younger. However they did and I am pleased with the result. It's even more blingy. Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
