I’ve just bought a Kayak for me and now want to but an inflatable SUP for my kids (11 and 14)

We don’t want anything special, entry level circa £300/£350 so any recommendations or advice really welcome.

Currently looking at this one from Decathlon as there are LOADS of brands on the internet and at least I trust Decathlon.

Thanks in advance.

Well I was going to recommend Decathlon. You beat me to it. Sold out quickly last summer.

+1 for decathlon. We bought x3 from there a few years ago and they have been perfect for what we wanted.

I was looking last summer. Sold out everywhere.

They were going on eBay 2nd hand for more than their new price.

So if you find any now, buy a load and resell during the height of summer. Fingers crossed for great weather hehe

You realise there's no paddle with that Decathlon board so you'll need to add that to your budget. Also, the fin box design might limit your choice when it comes to replacement fins. Look for a Standard/US Fin Box design if you want more choice. Amazon always seem to have a few budget SUP's for sale so it might be worth looking there. Otherwise, I'd have a chat with my local SUP dealer.

Here's a link to a SUP thread I started last year where I offered a few hints and tips when it comes to all things SUP:

This is the one I bought a few weeks ago. Not used it yet and I paid maybe £20 more.

Came with all that you will need incl an aluminium paddle and pump.

Good reviews.

Mine is 11ft hence £20 more but I've used shorter. Should be ok for a youngster.
