I'm in Portofino at the moment, this was moored offshore and the biggest I could see, big crop on a full zoom on phone, does it qualify for this thread if anyone can identify it?
Eurus was the biggest in the harbour, having googled it's for sale for only $9 million..
Second picture was an 'interesting' design, wife said it looks like a barge.

I think your wires are crossed. The top yacht image is of a much bigger vessel. It looks 55-60M and it's not Eurus which is much smaller.Eurus was the biggest in the harbour, having googled it's for sale for only $9 million..

No, possibly poorly worded though. The one offshore I don't know, Eurus was the largest moored in the port.

It was the Mackinac race at the weekend with a few hundred sailing yachts racing from Chicago to the Island.
My wife called while on her run, and said I need to come down to see an amazing yacht - I was expecting maybe a beautiful Wally, J Class or maybe the ex-america's cup contender which I think is in one of the harbors.
Imagine my crushing disappointment to cycle all the way over to the marina to find this:

Saying that €1m is a drop in the ocean compared to buying, staffing and maintaining one.

Tom Cruise is/was apparently on Triple Seven off Cornwall and was seen leaving the vessel in Mevagissey. Not sure if the boat qualifies at only £38million though?
He doesn't have a bad life, does he - he's been at everything I've watched for the last couple of months.

Has there ever been a famous example of a yacht or ship built that ended-up unable to launch for some technical reason to do with the slipway?
Just ended-up stuck where it was?
Not sure whether it's "famous" but one of my client's 96m yachts was dropped down the slipway when it was being positioned to be launched, drifted across the canal and bounced off of the opposite bank - all in super slow motion. Even more awkward as the new owner was in the car on the way to yard to watch the launch in person. He arrived to find the boat already in the water and a lot of frantic Dutchmen scurrying around...Just ended-up stuck where it was?
