Eggs on pizza are fantastic, especially with anchovy. I don't like the egg white all that much, and it runs everywhere too, so I tend to split the yolk from the white and place a couple of yolks only on the pizza. Timing? just check every now & then till there's a crust on the yolk, that'll do.

As for it being wrong? Nope, no way. Pizza Hut, Pizza Express, Domino's etc are wrong, they don't even bloody well do pizza, not like wot you get in France & Italy. I won't be told an egg is wrong by deep pan stuffed crust meat feast types who wouldn't know a pizza if it came out of a wood fired oven and bit them in the ass.

The chains would decline eggs as a topping because of (misplaced) salmonella fears. I expect. wink

Never had Dominoes but you can get egg on your pizza at Pizza Hut and Pizza Express.

So just to confirm, You cracked the egg onto the pizza with about 8 minutes to go? Didn't the egg run everywhere?
I overcome this by moving the central toppings to other bits of the pizza. Then the egg has it's own little 'well'.

If you do it gently the white remains quite thick and stays there making your pizza complete.
