I'd wanted to try Bleeker but after seeing that I'm not so keen.

With 5 Guys it is expensive but you won't leave hungry.
Bleeker is outstanding. The flavour and juiciness are as close to perfection as you'll get.

With 5-Guys you need loads of toppings to mask the taste of the patties. With Bleeker, you really want to taste the patties.

We went to Hawksmoor last night (Lowback Bar) and had burgers. They were nice enough, but didn't come anywhere close to Bleeker.

I need to add Black Bear to my list of places to try.

Think Bleecker is definitely the purist’s choice (they need to bring back the Bleecker Black), Black Bear is a close second. Lucky Chip still worth a mention.

Think I will go back and try the Honest or Tribute.

On the fries -actually found them a bit too salty for my tastes.

I'm at the Crown and Cushion near Fleet tomorrow, do rather like their Mexican Hot Burger, always had a good flavour (you can taste the beef through all the chilli sauce), nice level of char, however the chips are not that great.
I have taken customers there a few times, they do great food. Enjoy!

For a lot of people Bleeker burgers are too thin and served far too rare.

The other thing with Bleecker is the venue (in Victoria) is grim

I am not expecting the Ritz but would be nice to be served in something that doesn't resemble a Shell service station toilet!

The Beefy Boys opened in Cheltenham yesterday. My wife and I went along last night; had to book as soon as they opened the reservations.

Just as good food as in Hereford and Shrewsbury, I'm pleased to report. I managed not to take any photos until I'd half-demolished my Jurassic Classic Nozboy burger, so these are quick snaps of what was left - my wife doesn't like sauces etc so she loves the fact that they do the Lonely Boy and she doesn't need to explain that she wants it plain, but that's why the burger looks a little bit naked.

Smashed patty Lonely Boy:

Chilli Cheese Fries:

Biscoff hard shake (Lotus biscuit and Amaretto - amazing):

They're doing 25% off for their soft opening until 25 Feb. Bill came to £44 including a Coke, a Butty Bach, plain fries and my Jurassic Classic Nozboy in addition to the items pictured above, plus 7.5% service charge. Normal prices on the menu below. A friend who lives on the North Yorks coast commented that the prices would all be £5 more there; I think these prices are the same as in Hereford and Shrewsbury so I wonder if they'll eke up a bit? Particularly when the races are on.

Almost famous.

Burger with a steak on it. Absolutely delicious.
I've had this in Leeds previously and it looked a lot like yours and was really tasty, I went for it in Manchester on Sunday and it was a bit disappointing. Tasty but lacking the content I expected from past experiences and nothing like their own promo shots (obviously). The fries weren't great either.

My phone was having one of it's "make it all yellow" days but hopefully you can see what I mean.

Half price though so I didn't grumble at the time, it's the "Butter, Blood & Bleu", normally £13.75.

"Double cheeseburger, wonderbuttered 4oz steak,
chorizo, peppercorn sauce, creamy bleu cheese sauce,
wonderdusted waffle fries, wonder onions, magic mayo"

I didn't even see anything else on the menu, heck yes, clever marketing by them too.

For me it worked really well I just scooped the cheese into the burger and dipped the bun. I adore onion soup though but yes the meat isn't the star obviously with so much flavour from the onions etc.

This as very good reputation, daughter and friends have been a few times. And she's quite fussy about what she eats.

Well obvs I would usually but... hehe

I have a bottle of the Hellboy sauce at home and it is ridiculously hot - I don't know how much they use in the burger because I've never tried it, but I think the warning may not just be marketing.

Beefy Boys Cheltenham. On recommendation from this thread. £11.50 for the regular thick patty burger. £4.75 for chips with cheese and dip.

The chips were very good. Parmesan cheese and truffle oil. Worth the extra 75p over standard chips.

The burger was wet. I'm not a fan of food with lots of sauces. The bun had a back to black Mr Muscle sheen. Perfect for an insta photo but just weird to eat.

The menu was too big. I prefer something short and concise. Beer was a 4.2% pale ale for £5.75. The restaurant itself was a bit musty. Too hot.

Interesting. I was looking forward to trying that place next time I'm in Cheltenham - burger sounds a bit disappointing though.

Nope - walked past it on Thurs & thought "still haven't eaten there" (then bought tuna pasta salad @ M&S).

New Brewhouse oppo rail station opens Monday, will definately give that one a go.
