Decent red wine for a tenner? (better than Barossa Ink)

It seems that not all of their wines are in the 6 for 25% offer - the Porta 6 doesn't seem to be, but the Carnivore Zinfandel is.
Porta 6 definitely was here (Lancaster) - I just collected 18 bottles of that and 12 of the carnivore Zinfandel

Evening fellow tightwads. I’m on a £7 South African pinotage this weekend (it’s fair trade, man’s ethical innit). I literally mean weekend too; a bottle lasts me Friday, Saturday and Sunday and it’s made something very apparent - are the treasures of our budget only truly discovered with some good airing? Tonight’s glass is nothing like last nights was, it’s far nicer and this is something I’m continually noticing with pretty much every bottle of this price band i drink over a weekend. Anyone else find this?
Younger wines do generally benefit from airing, the contact with oxygen generally softens the harsher elements and smooths them out. The same can be achieved with decanting the wine, or there are aerators you can pour the wine through too. I often enjoy ‘2nd day’ wines more.If it isn't an old bottle with the risk of sediment you can turbo decant it. give the bottle a swirl then upend it into the decanter. It will do the same job as an aerator and give you a days breathing in a minute.
Bought this sparkling shiraz from Aldi yesterday for £6.99 and it was lovely. Chilled it down quite a bit and the bramble fruit really came through. Don't know why they said raspberry on the review, definitely stronger bramble notes than that.

Presuming we’ve stumbled upon this prior to now? This works. What exactly is it and what is there that’s similar?
Be careful though, unfortunately the Mrs accidentally picked up a couple of bottles that had been blended with coffee. What kind of psychopath even drinks such a thing? Now they just stand there mocking us, it's seems sacrilege to pour it down the drain but it's not gonna get drunk, what to do?

Bit of a shot in the dark... but any recommendations on a champagne sparkling wine (read on).
Travelling abroad on friday. customs limits are 2l of spirit, and 2l of anything below 16%. My birthday will happen while i'm on holiday so i fancy getting a champagne/sparkling wine (i dont care which, long as..bubbles). to drink for my birthday. In the past 90% of these have always tasted very bitter.
As ill be buying it in duty free, it has to be something that's on the heathrow duty free website below. (at least i hope its the right site)
What would I like?- something sweet/fresh, crisp.as said, most ones ive had in the past have just tasted to bitter.

I dont really wana spend more than £20.. so i guess that means its going to probably be a sparkling wine.

Stumbled upon a gifted bottle of this in the cellar the other day. Stupendously good.
I’ve no idea what it costs but it tasted very smooth and medium bodied with no nasty finish. Very impressed.

The producer is around 20kms from me. Generally around here you wouldn’t get that type of wine anywhere close to 10£/€12. Fortnum & Mason have a basic red at that price but it’s produced by a local co-operative (Paolini).I’ve no idea what it costs but it tasted very smooth and medium bodied with no nasty finish. Very impressed.

That’s probably a very good Nero d’Avola so out of this price point.

Cheapest I could find it was £16 at a local shop to me funnily enough.

I’m not a big red drinker and usually only with food but it was on a par with some very expensive bottles I’ve been lucky enough to try.

Rates pretty highly on Vivino (4.1/5), and would be one of the more interesting wines posted on the thread.
