Pret is average but is very popular because it's better than the rest of the crap you can buy.

Let's be honest - anaemic, floppy egg mayo sandwich from Tesco on 3 day old bread or thick, chunky, fresh all day breakfast sandwich from Pret?

No contest.

My only complaint in there is that there's little choice in filling for my liking.

I love that only on PH could you find people who carry water bottles around (to, let's not forget, be healthy) and eat sushi (because, let's not forget, they enjoy it) described as "new age" or "susceptible to advertising"...
Jesus wept, it's just a case of people doing what they want to do. Do you deride people who judge car enthusiasts as "sad" for wanting to drive for several hours to stand around in a car park, in the freezing cold, looking at other people's cars? I know plenty of people who would, but they are being just as judgemental as you lot.

I can't stand any of these places that serve refrigerated sandwiches. The refrigeration kills any flavour. There are so many places that will do freshly made sandwiches that there is no need to go to Pret.

Total and utter tasteless ste that the British seem to love, and then live under some delusion that it is actually good tasty food.

It is to sandwiches etc, what Starbucks/Costa etc is to decent coffee.
