First one is easy! smile
There was a remix of Ready or not, and it was advertised as being released soon at the time (I remember it well, I a huge fan of Dope Dragon and had every release) I only ever heard it on a few tapes, mostly the Full Cycle lot playing it.
Then it disapeared and never got released frown

The other one is doing my head in!
The descending bassline, the only ones that instantly spring to mind are Warhead (obviously not that) and the original Ray Keith - Chopper, but that is probably wrong too lol
I know exactly what you mean by the digital explosion sound, but cant think of any tunes with it in at the mo.... I won't give up yet though mate!

This is going to do my head in laughlaughlaugh
The only tune that springs to mind at the moment with that sample is Goldie - Digital, but thats 1997 too!
Hmmm....

Does'nt ring any bells!
Around 97/98 I was really trying hard to steer away from the dark steppy stuff that was appearing as I didnt really get into it. I was jumpup through and through!
My knowledge of darker stuff from 97-2000 is very limited. 92-96 or so is where my knowledge lives smile

I was playing at Milwaukees every week until late 97 when it shut down.
After that I carried on playing the odd event here and there but only playing older tunes rather than current.
There were very few tunes I bought between 98-2000, mostly V, Full Cycle and anything that they released.
By 2000 I was starting to begrudge even buying them just to keep the labels complete as the tunes were getting worse and worse frown
By 2002 I had near enough stopped mixing and needed a break from it all, so I sat on my tunes for 2 years wondering if I should sell them or not and got offered £7500 cash for the lot... it took another 6 months to decide about that!
I eventually sold them and kept my favourite 100 or so tunes. A year later I had'nt touched them and sold them too.
Fast forward to 2011, I got another pair of 1200's and Serato and now feel I'm in the best position I have been!
I do sometimes regret selling them simply due to the rarity of some, and having the actual vinyl but having had them all originally brand new for £5 or less, I refuse to pay the stupid prices they go for now.
I do own a small and very select collection, picking up the odd rarity here and there smile

Things such as

Ive also set myself a challenge to get white label copies of all early Full Cycle, V, Dope Dragon releases!

I had nearly all of them on my channel, but had to take them down as Bryan Gee was kicking off about full tune uploads on facebook!
I did however have a good chat with him about getting some old unreleased tunes on their site smile

Back in the day me and a bunch of mates organised some of the first intelligent D&B nights in Bournemouth - god that makes me sound old... :-(

However, I decided on a career in IT rather than being a wannabe DJ but my mates stuck at it and morphed a couple of years later into these guys..

I kinda miss the old days with Brett, Ollie and Dave but it was fun while it lasted.

Enjoy.

Came into D&B quite late in the 90's, and use to go raving in London now and then. We would often venture out the Sanctuary in Bletchley too for Slammin Vinyl events.

I have very fond memories of United Dance raves at Bagleys. The place was pretty grim but still had a great vibe. This is quite haunting to watch - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kc1V-hJovvk

Some awesome late 90's sets can be found here, all taken from radio 1's One In The Jungle show - http://oneinthejungle.co.uk/

Enjoy!

Ah thanks for that, it was driving me insane. All I could remember was that sample and a bit of the beat, I listened to a few albums yesterday whilst I was out and it wasn't on any of them.

What happens if you mix Pacific State with Jungle?

Deep Blue - Fantasy #2 (JMJ & Richie Remix) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_J_JU1u_kY

An overlooked gem. Original mix was on the flip side to Helicopter Tune (Fantasy #1).

I would have known this if I was into vinyl. I originally heard it on a Bukem mixtape and then it got chewed it in my Walkman. Took me years to find out what it was.

Here's an offer for you, if you compile a tracklisting of your favourite tunes, I'll do a mix of them!
This offer applies to anyone, any style as long as its hardcore from 92-94, jungle 94-96 or dnb 96-2000.
If I've not got the tunes I'll source them first (unless you've already got them and can share)
