My first pics
I Have a really nice Hummingbird copy but someone snapped the neck, so my Grandfarther bought me this it's cheap and sounds rubbish but it was the last thing my grandad bought me before he passed away so it will always have a special place in my heart.
I was 16 and somehow managed to get an A in GCSE music I had just over a £1500 to buy my first car but for some mad reason I went out and bought this bad boy, its been with me for 11 years and I don't think I would of got into uni to study music without it. Car worked out as well I bought a non starting mk1 XR2 for about £300 and that car lasted me longer than any other I have had so far!!!

starting to get more of an appreciation for Ibanez's recently....
Ibanez guitars are lovely things. I've had two; a black SJ with no trimmings, and a special edition (can't remember the model, but SJ based) with a smoky grey coloured bookmatched top, pearly binding, blank fretboard, and trem.
Both great players, but sold through not enough use.
Decided about 5 years ago to start playing again, and although I've always liked the look of Eggles guitars I was seduced by the PRS moniker.
Not disappointed in the slightest!

Epiphone Les Paul Standard in translucent wine red.
Also have a black ESP ltd Explorer, from when I wanted to be Hetfield and a black Ibanez Iceman (with Floyd Rose) from when I wanted to be Paul Stanley
Nothing particularly flash but can sort some photos of the ESP and Ibanez (And a better one of the LP) tomorrow if anyone's interested?
The S series is often overlooked because of the far more popular RG series. It's an awesome bit of kit though!
Make sure to try the guitar out in the shop before you buy it as the ones not made in Japan have a 50% chance of haveing some kind of fault. If you get a good one It'll be fine, but youmust try before you buy. They switched a few of the prestige models back to Japanese production for 2008 and quality controll is said to be vastly better, so less of an issue with these.
Mine came from the same factory in which Cort make it's guitars and is faultless if that's any help to anyone.

OK here they are. Please excuse the picture quality, had to take them on a phone for one reason or another...
The Epi Les Paul, one of the special edition ones with the "Gibson USA" pickups and Grover tuners. not as beautiful a piece of wood as the proper Gibson version but still very nice I think. Used tohave an Epiphone LP custom which was a real s
tter compared to this one, it sounds great and stays in tune to boot. Also the plating on the hardware is loads better.
The Ibanez Iceman, a Japanese one but more than that I can't tell you. A hard up mate sold me it for £175 complete with a custom fitted plush hardcase. Thinking of selling it as I rarely play it due to my habit of resting my right hand on the bridge, inadvertently wobbling the tremolo that I don't often use properly.
Lastly the ESP. Its what they call an LTD, which I believe is to ESP what Epiphone is to Gibson. Bought it in the US about ten years ago on holiday complete with a custom hardcase for the equivilent of £379 (I remember the credit card bill). Great to play although a little neck heavy, the angle of the neck strap button gave it a habit of slipping out of the strap so invested in some strap-lok's which solved that. Plays great but needs the wiring looking at as the output jack is a bit temperamental, really must get around to that.

Possibly, not sure what it's worth though. I would say pop round for a look and give it a play but West Lothian isn't exceptionally handy for Wiltshire
... If you ever do decide to sell I'd be very interested, price dependant of course

Been meaning to put mine up for sale for a while but it's probably only of much value to PE collectors or enthusiasts as it's about 15 years old. Might be able to canvas some opinion on there.
