Whatever they get/got make sure you put some descent mud terrain tyres on it. Pulling a dead weight, i.e. a trailer even on flat grass can be a challenge if its wet, muddy and boggy.

Remember a 4x4 with road tyres is just taller with better ground clearance, it'll have no more traction than any 4wd car on similar rubber!


As for the vehicles, well am a Landy man thru and thru, so a Disco would be the most obvious choice. That said I'm also a huge Jeep fan, so think you can't really go wrong with a Wrangler, Cherokee or Grand Cherokee. However the late model Cherokee isn't one, its a rebadged Jeep Liberty, so make sure you look at the proper Cherokees.

Some of the Jap stuff is meant to be very good, but I don't have any experience with it so won't comment further.
