G20 front Uprights

the front uprights on the G20Junior coupé look fabricated by ginetta. the central part of the upright looks like a dooor part where the upper and lower balljoint-connections where welded to.
can anybody tell me why ginetta made their own uprights ? is this upright based on a sierra one (in terms of stub-axle and hub), modified by ginetta to change geometries?
