Watched a load of runs after the coverage of the Nurburgring 24hrs finished.

The fixed cameras work well for short course hillclimb coverage, I've enjoyed both Gurston last week and this Shelsley meeting on the live stream.

Glad to see spectators too.

As more people watch these excellent presentations it will be interesting to see if it attracts Festival of speed enthusiasts to actual hill climb meetings. The production is excellent and continually improving, it is a shame that the atmosphere around the paddock which is a unique feature of hill climbs and sprints is difficult to convey.

The camera placements allow some views not normally possible to the public. The angle from top of karosell to ashes at Gurston was particularly interesting.

Another good Loton Park feed again today, really appreciated that the organisers have made the effort.

I picked a good day for my first visit to Shelsley. Really enjoyed the day, and the first Top 12 run off was some great motorsport. Just such a shame that we can't watch it all back..

After following the British all around the UK for ten years now, I can safely say that this weekend was the best event I’ve ever been to.

Prescott today and it’s going to be mega, I’d be fairly confident the hill record will go at some point on the day…

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=__mm7fQ9dCA

Wallace Menzies did a 35.69 in practice yesterday, the hill record held by Sean Gould is 35.41…

At the start of the day the hill record was held by Sean Gould with a 35.41….

Menzies does a 35.12 in the second class run, but only a 35.54 in the first run off behind Alex Summers who did a 35.40, 0.01s under the old record time! Then In the second run off Menzies does a 34.65… the first ever run under 35s and so there is 0.75 seconds between the two fastest ever runs at Prescott which is a huge amount of time. The video is on YouTube, fast forward to 3:36.00 for the second run off.

Shelsley Walsh Enclosed Car record broken - the enclosed car record has gone to 6R4.com and Ian Rowlance in the Sports Libre 6R4 with a time of 27.89 seconds.
I didn't think Endean's time would be beaten yet even though there have been plenty in the 28s over recent years, but the Dr really pulled it out the bag with his last run. If you look at the run, it was through the Esses that he really made up the time, his finish line speed was pretty much the same . Really pleased for him and the ex-Rasmushagen Metro.

Meanwhile up at Harewood (on Sunday) numerous red flags for ducks on the course.
