DVD - is it even worth repairing?
Discussion
We have a ~ 3 yr old LG DVD recorder/hard drive, which has become progressively more and more selective about which discs it will play, and which it ejects in disgust.
I _have_ attempted to clean it with a cleaning disc, ironically it now ejects the cleaning DVD in disgust.
I've gone out and bought a Sony replacement for ~£190 (actually was hankering for multiregion playback which the LG didn't have).
In hindsight would it have even been worth trying to get the LG repaired? It has quite a library of movies on the HDD which would be reason enough to hook it to another TV.
