In the space of 5 mins, the word 'mate' has been said about 50 times. Why do the police call criminals 'mate' and vice versa?
That is annoying, I notice this quite a bit on TV police procedurals, I'd prefer less matey-ness towards drug dealing gangsters from the arresting coppers and the desk sergeant. Chauffard said:

There is no mention at the end what her punishment was? whats the point in the episode if there is no information on the outcome?!
As a pwecious feemayul we can only assume she wasn't jailed, some community order, a few hours of community service for a 200k+ swindle of an old mans life savings. That said the money would've only gone to the state / the kings coffers / upkeep of illegal immigrants so who caresbishop finger said:

As someone explained previously it’s likely she cut a deal which helped seal the fate of the ringleader. The program made a point that the cases were linked.
There is no defense of that. If a straight white working class male committed the same crime he'd be looking at 6-10 years; there'd be no 'special deals'bishop finger said:

He has "previous" which appears related to similar petty crime. Nothing comparable to that £300,000 fraud to which it's difficult to find the female perps actual sentence, including barely her name or photograph
He has absolutely tons of previous. It looks like he got the longer sentence for breaching the previous criminal behaviour order that was put in place last time he nicked a bunch of people's cards. He has "previous" which appears related to similar petty crime. Nothing comparable to that £300,000 fraud to which it's difficult to find the female perps actual sentence, including barely her name or photograph

Recently in the news, try £3.3 million scammed with her husband while working at HMRC. No prison for her either:

This episode summed up the state of the world now.
Old guy who doesnt understand tech has all his money stolen by junkie family member.
Wanbe gangsters thinking they above the law.
And that lawyer , well i have no words.
I did feel sorry for the old man, and pleased the home will keep him.
The whole thing was fairly depressing.
Add in old boy having to sell his house to pay for care as well.Old guy who doesnt understand tech has all his money stolen by junkie family member.

I don't think they were moving huge amounts.
Didn't of the coppers say that some of the proper boys from Luton would just shoot these 3, if they could be bothered to take over Biggleswade?
And pretty poor quality stuff to it seemed (not that I'm any judge!).Didn't of the coppers say that some of the proper boys from Luton would just shoot these 3, if they could be bothered to take over Biggleswade?
I think if it was these 3 went on to Luton OCG turf, they'd just shoot them - which shocked me a little that Luton has an OCG (i.e. a relatively small place, I naïvely thought OCGs would be only in the bigger cities). Although what makes an OCG over these three other than a tad more organisation (not taking payment via bank transfer etc.) I'm not entirely sure.

Agree. I am not going to watch it anymore, I simply can not deal with the use of the word mate. They are not your mate, so why even say it?!
And when you watch the likes of Police Interceptors, you'll see that if you dare called a copper 'mate', invariably their response is 'I'm not your mate' Gassing Station | TV, Film, Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
