Have I Got Sport For You confirmed

No news yet if it has been picked up as a series so this is a one-off episode to air over Xmas with Jason Manford hosting.

National treasure my arse

That's a proud boast.

Lorraine was OK but she just lacks a bit of comic timing. Also how does her fringe not annoy the fk out of her. Its all in her eyes, would drive me mad.

Was a decent episode, not the best of this season but it's a strong season.

Just in case there's interest in Private Eye podcast.

I listen to most - there's a really friendly vibe from the journalists, and generally Ian Hislop is on.
Made me realise how often PI is way ahead of the 'general' media. They are a tenacious bunch, and know a lot about their subject areas

I subscribe to the magazine, but have never listened to Page 94. Dunno why.

The Private Eye podcast comes highly recommended (find it on the PE website)

Totally agree. He can be both cynical / frustrated old man, but also light. Always good value.

Helen Lewis is seriously bright and on the ball.

Lewis and Hamilton are usually good value for money but I await the epidose with trepidation, as I find Coren Mitchell almost as irritating as Vorders.

I think that's preferable to guests who feel obliged to say something "funny" or (in the case of Carol Vorderman) something politically "right on". It just feels cringe.

Is the Jaguar badge actually referred to as a 'growler'? I know the bonnet mascot is a 'leaper', but that's not as funny.

The one positive thing I can say about Dooley is that she makes Coren Mitchell seem almost tolerable by comparison.
