I quite like him. The Tik Tok things were/are fun and he did OK at the last GE.
He’s ok but I think he’s really out of place on something like HIGNFY, especially when Ian was out for his blood. He’s just not quick thinking enough for the verbal combat.

He deserves it for the post office debacle.
Agreed. He was squirming a lot when Ian H had a go!

I suspect he ended up with the sympathy vote from many as a result.

This series has really been very good, almost as if it’s got a new lease of life, Paul Merton has been rather more animated than in the past, that’s been a welcome change.

Anyone appearing who has links to industry, media or politics, will be well aware of what Ian Hislop is like, erudite, tenacious and very well versed in scathing riposte

Therefore, they deserves no sympathy, if their appearance results in a bloody nose, it can’t really come a surprise.

Indeed.

I remember reading an interview with Gordon Ramsay after he hosted it years ago and him saying how quick and scathing Hislop could be when he turned it on you. I think Ramsay called him a fridge magnet as a joke and Hislop tore him a new one just for sts and giggles.

To be fair, Trump is likely to be around for 4 years, therefore plenty of time yet.

I think most people are already suffering from serious ‘Trump’ fatigue, without HIGNFY adding to it.

Yes - the trouble with Trump is that he's beyond mockery. What's the point of taking the p*ss out of him?
