You have to moan on here, otherwise nobody will know, and your opinion is the most important one. Just like everyone else's.

Not sure I understand all the hate for McGuinness, I certainly prefer him to FF. Looking forward to the new series.

I like Flintoff because he's fearless. To a stupid extreme but there is absolutely nothing he won't do for a craic.

I recalled that date too. I didn't post as oddly nothing online confirmed it when I Googled.

What I really don't like about the latest Top Gear team is that the producers brought in a team, of which two out of three clearly knew nothing about cars and probably cared even less. They just wanted people who could act in a laddish way and create some banter, with the cars being a necessary add on. At least with Clarkson and Co and every previous presenter, with the exception of the stunningly clueless Kate Humble (who is also clueless in everything else, selected only for her looks), the presenters were true petrolheads. It makes a difference IMO.

Paddy has been a serial buyer of "proper" cars including Ferraris and the series has shown us that they do seem to be petrol heads and very enthusiastic.

Away with your common sense postings Caddyshack. I'd go as far as saying Pad might fit the profile of a PH member, owned a load of fast cars, opinionated, has a big house...perhaps its his relative success for a 'northener' that turns so many off. I remember many comments suggesting he should learn to talk properly by the narrow minded and judgemental when he first appeared on the show, incredible in the 21st century.

Nothing to do with Paddy being Northern, I live in the North. If Paddy fits the profile of petrol heads, they must be far more concerned about image and projecting success than the actual cars they own and drive (which I don't think is the case). This article of his repeatedly makes it clear that cars, from his early years, were all about image and demonstrating success "https://www.topgear.com/car-news/top-gear-tv/my-life-cars-paddy-mcguinness".

So he's the "wrong type" of enthusiast.

It doesn't matter what his accent is or what type of petrolhead he is or isn't, he's still just an annoying shouty bellend.

Again, that somewhat validates my feeling he could be a stereotypical PH member, which was what i said. The term Petrolheads covers a very broadchurch and most any enthusiast could be representative of the term. I read arrogant comments about certain makes of car, type of person etc...daily on here. So what if McGuiness bought cars to show he was successful, isn't that what most people do, or the richer you get do you still drive a 500 quid banger? Don't get me wrong, some of us do just that, but many more use their car as a symbol of their success or an image they want to project.

I cam get that some just don't like him or his persona buy some of the comments on here as to why really beggar belief.

Edit, that last part was a general comment about 'some', not directed at everybody!

I buy nice cars as I like them for myself. The fact others like them too is nice but I'd buy them anyway.

Regardless of his car status I can't stand PM on telly.

Agree

Paddy is an utter knob

Actually

Paddy's TV persona is as an utter knob, no idea what he is like as a person.
