For some reason my wife wanted to watch the Meghan Markle thing, I’m not even sure what kind of show it is but it’s hilariously bad. Only seen the first episode but it’s two adults being amazed at primary school arts and crafts. Just odd.
I’m half convinced it’s a parody of itself.

The Guardian were rather damning in their review of it.

SNATCH - The Series

Didn't even know this was in the pipeline - I'm a few episodes in - good cast, plenty of familiar faces... but... it just seems like Skins, but a bit naughty.

Never like these spin-off type of things (although The Gentleman seemed to work rather well).

Season 1 was superb. I recall season 2 was not as good and season 3 was a stinking pile of crap.

I'm amazed anyone would watch that drivel, but to some people (mostly Americans) anything anti-British establishment is de rigueur. Hence Netfilx production I'd imagine.

Snatch is becoming a series? Brilliant film, Ritchie's best by far IMO, but can't help thinking the series will just plunder any brilliance and we'll end up with something at best mediocre.

It's not becoming a series, it was made 7 years ago. Brace yourself for Rupert Grint

I'm busy with Slow Horses at the moment, but Snatch will likely be next. I see your concerns, but I'm hopeful - The Gentlemen was a better series than movie.

I watched it when it was on TV (the strip club was filmed inside Len Goodmans ballroom which I used to go past in the way to school every day, when filming they changed the signs outside I got rather excitedbiggrin )

It's a poor imitation of the film but at the time it was watchable. I agree The Gentleman does it better now.

Zero Day. Almost finished this so no spoilers but Robert de Niro and and a very good cast in an gripping political drama. Enjoying it thoroughly, very close to a version of the truth I suspect...

Had a quick look at the trailer, decided a cardiac arrest would be less painful.

I tried this but couldn't get on with it. I like The Gentlemen series but the difference between the two is Guy Ritchie and it was obvious in the pacing.

An update on Resident Alien.

The first five episodes set up a great sitcom setting.......which is then discarded, but most of the rest of the season is still highly entertaining and with a plot.

S2 meanders along so far with no plot and no sitcom setting and few laughs. Netflix also only seems to have S1 & S2 of a 4 season show.

I've just started season 2. Enjoyed the first, fun little romp.

It started off really well but for me went downhill after s2 and hasn’t aged well.

The last 2 are on sky
Your experience though mirrors mine
I don't think I ever went back to it after s2
Certainly never finished it
It lost something, I felt it went from it's roots to tackle bigger and bigger things that were just not funny, and could never get back it's charm

Yep - I quite enjoyed S1 but S2 doesn't seem to have any direction. First couple of episodes just seemed dull.

Don't know if it's been mentioned earlier but there is a second season of The Gentlemen confirmed.

Also confirmed second seasons of Wednesday, A Man On The Inside and Fubar
