"Altered Carbon" season 2 incoming...

Really enjoyed "The Stranger"... just the pace of it!
"Marriage Story" also excellent.

Another one for that i kind of liked The Stranger but just did not like the ending.

Also, has 'You' been mentioned much? I managed to get through season 1 and maybe 2 episodes of season 2 but i just couldn't put myself through any more.

A very weird series, I just didn't get it.
I enjoyed You, I did wonder where S2 was going to go and they did it well, you do need to watch the whole thing for it to make sense though

I agree it is a fantastic series but i also think you have a valid point calling Felix "meh". Wagner Moura is a far better actor and you have to accept the fact that at the moment this is set in Mexico in the late 70's and through the 80's. Escobar is still alive shipping his cocaine via planes and boats. Mexico is nothing like Columbia at this moment with its war on drugs not declared until 2006, i feel it will be a while yet before the Mexico series reaches the original Narcos in terms of sheer volume of Cocaine shipped, people killed and corruption levels.

If you want something similar to the original Narcos then try Netflix's El Chapo. That quite quickly reaches modern Mexican cartel times
I think to appreciate Diego Luna in this you probably have to know a little about Felix Gallardo. He is a little, weasley type man who aspired to be, but never could be Escobar.

From what I gather he currently spends most of his time complaining how hard it is for him in prison and how ill he is etc and how he needs to serve the rest of his sentence at home

Finished the 2nd series of Final Space - that gets really dark for a cartoon. Good stuff though.
The stranger was entertaining but silly, overly convuluted and filled with coincidence.
Titans S2 - Hard going, not really worth the effort.
Longshot - not as much of a comedy as I was expecting but an ok watch.
Medical Police - Very funny once you get into the style. It's no Brooklyn99 but very enjoyable.
Fighting with My Family - Based on a true story, worthwhile watch. The Rock has a bit part and it's not a comedy so a bit of false advertising as the story was strong enough without those bits.
Birdbox - didn't really make any sense.
Hellboy (2019) - Terrible
The Witcher - not as good as it could have been. See seperate thread for details on its many issues.
Criminal - Just the interview bits of every police drama but especially Line of Duty. Excellent

Following on from The Stranger, we just finished watching Safe, also by Harlan Coben. If was probably just as far fetched but entertaining all the same.

The third series of Babylon Berlin starts next week, its a bit of a cross between Poirot and Peaky Blinders.

an oldie I just watched - Support Your Local Sheriff (1969). Nice, gentle western comedy/parody with James Garner

BB is also available on the ARD1 app if you have a Smart TV (and maybe other platforms). We're watching series 1 at the moment, it's very good.
